water goddess
 
a glow in the dark piece, this is a continuation of my exploration of the use of watercolour on wood.  featuring the tri-goddess symbol, this piece depicts three figures holding the moons rather than the moon on its own.  each phase symbolizes a different aspect of divine feminine energy, with the intention of carrying the wisdom of each phase through all aspects of life.  the maiden represents youth and innocence, the mother is the manifesting time of our lives, whether through physical children or birthing of our dreams.  and the crone symbolizes the old wise womxn archetype, the wisdom acquired by moving through the other two phases.
